February is here and we have a lot of things to look forward to. With Groundhog Day just around the corner I’m sure some of you are hoping for a hasty end to this mild winter. That is unless you want to fit a few more ski trips in this season. What will Phil decide? I’m staying silent and trying not to jinx it.
CURRICULUM
Arrr me mateys. Pirates be the theme for this here month so pirates ye shall be. Eye patches, hooks, and sailing the great blue sea. Pirates as we know them from popular culture are a loose and fantastical interpretation of the attitude and lifestyle of seafaring bandits. Most of the behavior we attribute to the archetypal pirate—Captain Jack Sparrow for example—are wholly fictional and come from fictional stories like Treasure Island. Still these characters were loosely based on real 18th century pirates who sailed the seas hunting for gold and glory.

This fun center is a fan favorite. Team up with your friends in an intense game of laser tag. Then, relieve some tension bouncing and sliding in their inflatable air park. Sign up via the Parent Portal.

“Pirates Ahoy!” (Minnows + Barracudas)
While the Sharks are away on their 2/2 field trip, the Minnows and Barracudas will mix for some fun pirate themed games and crafts.

Winter weather reminder
When the temperature drops below 40° kids may need “all five things” to go outside:
- Jacket
- Hat
- Gloves
- Boots*
- Snow pants*
*Only needed when there is snow on the ground
