PEDP Newsletter February 2024

In the words of the Grateful Dead:  What a long, strange trip it’s been.  (You’re probably all too young to know that group!) Flashbacks of the pandemic, huh? Just a glimpse of the staff in one of several planning sessions for our Zoom activities over the past week. It’s been difficult for us being away from the kids all this time.  Though we have had a blast together on Zoom, I know we’re all looking forward to getting back to our normal routines.

THEMES:

Ciao, Italia! We had so much fun with this theme! The Early Birds learned about some inventions from Italy and made their own eyeglasses. The Minnows made paper mosaics, spaghetti, and pizzas! They also had some fun with pasta art and learned a new beading technique. The Barracudas filled our hallways with delicious smells including spaghetti, homemade pizza, and bruschetta! The Sharks learned to draw like Botticelli.

February’s theme is Cats and Dogs! I’m sure it will be raining all sorts of felines and canines before long 🙂
