Here’s what’s coming up in February…

THEME: “DOGS”  We will be learning about one of our favorite 4-legged friends! If your family has a dog, please bring in a picture of you with him/her for our bulletin board upstairs at Peirce.

CLASSES:

  • Ski/Snowboard Program – Two more sessions! Tuesdays 2/4 and 2/11.
  • Etiquette Class – We need a few more children to run this new class! Wednesdays starting 2/26.
  • Hip Stitch – It’s not just for girls! Many of your boys LOVE to sew, especially on a machine! It’s like driving a car! Thursdays starting 2/13.

COMMUNITY SERVICE:

  • We’re ready for the second of three monthly donations to the Community Day Center in Waltham. On Wednesday 2/5, all three fish teams will be working together to create 40 sack lunches (submarine sandwich, chips, fruit, cookie, water) for the clients there which we will deliver the next day along with lots of canned food to stock their pantry.

EARLY RELEASE DAY: Thursday 2/6 is an Early Release!

  • Minnows (K/1) and Barracudas (2/3) stay at Peirce and have a dog event planned! As part of it, a groomer from Doggone-It! is going to visit and show how a grooming is done using Miss Deb’s dog, Pearl. How fun is that?!
  • Sharks (4/5) have a field trip to In the Game in Peabody. Sign up today on the parent portal.

PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES:

TRIVIA NIGHT!

  • Make sure to save the date and book your sitter for Friday, March 13th! That evening will mark the return of our popular TRIVIA NIGHT! There will be several rounds of trivia questions, a silent auction, delicious dinner, prizes, and more! Trust me, you will not want to miss it! Evite to be sent on Monday!
  • Let us know if you have anything you’d be willing to donate to our Silent Auction that night. It can be anything from BIG (vacation home rental) to small (a great read). Gift cards are great, too, as they can be used for prizes or items to add to an auction basket.

WINTER VACATION WEEK PROGRAM: We offer a full day program Tuesday 2/18 through Friday 2/21. There are a ton of fun activities, field trips and food planned! Sign up today on the parent portal! You can sign up for ONE, TWO, THREE or FOUR days. The deadline to sign up is February 7th!

REQUESTS & REMINDERS FOR ALL PARENTS:

  • The next board meeting will be held on March 2nd at 7:00 pm. See me for the location if interested in attending.
