PEDP Newsletter January 2022

Happy New Year! I hope that you all got to spend some time with loved ones and enjoyed a much deserved rest. We forge ahead into 2022 with hopes for an improving COVID situation in the New Year. Meanwhile, let us be grateful for the little things and look for joy in each day.

January Theme
This month at PEDP, our theme is “Fiber Arts”. Most of our kids love to do and make things with their hands. We’ll be studying all sorts of fiber arts: knitting, weaving, sewing, macrame, quilting, rug hooking, and much more. Do you engage in any of these activities? If so, we encourage you to share the craft with your children!

Parent Conferences
This month, we will begin scheduling conferences with all parents. They will be held virtually. We’ll be sending information home later this week via Sign Up Genius about how to sign up for your conference. Conferences will start the week of January 17th and run for about a month.

Vacation Week Programming
We are in the process of determining if there is a need and/or whether it is financially viable for us to run a PEDP Vacation Week Program for February (TU 2/22 – F 2/25) or April (TU 4/19 – F 4/22). Please respond to the email sent earlier today if you would be interested in this coverage.

Reminders and Requests
  1. Next board meeting: Monday, January 10th @ 7:30 pm. Email us if you’d like the Zoom link in order to attend!
  2. The Ski/Snowboard program is scheduled to start this Wednesday. Right now, the forecast is looking like rain. Ugh. If we have to cancel and reschedule an extra Wednesday, we’ll let parents know via email Wednesday mid-morning.
  3. NO SCHOOL OR PEDP on Monday, January 17th (MLK Day)
Cheers!
