We made it! The last Newsletter of the school year! It’s been an incredible year, but we’re not done yet! Here’s what happened this past month, and what we’ve got to look forward to for the last month of PEDP for the year.
May was an awesome Month of ancient civilizations, where the PEDP team dove deep into ancient history and excavated some awesome artifacts. The minnows learned the importance of calm bodies and minds with our Movement and Mindfulness class, with the wonderful Ms. Desiree! Trivia night was a grand time; it was great to see everybody having fun and enjoying their time. Thank you everybody who attended, contributed, and assisted in setup! We went on our last field trip for the year this month, where the whole program went to The Beach House in Natick, and had a ton of fun in the sand! We celebrated Ms. Alicia and Ms. Monica’s third year at PEDP, as well as all of our wonderful fifth graders. All who attended know that it was a great, heartfelt time!
Looking ahead to June, we have some great stuff to wrap up 2025 school year. Our curriculum theme for the month is flying, so we will be learning all about flying animals, machines, and fantasy! The Sharks are kicking off June with a blast, with their Shark Week; a week of fun celebrations for all the hard work put into this year. The Minnows are having their wacky water day June 11th, to have some fun under the sun! PEDP will host our annualfamily picnic Thursday, June 12th, 5:00-7:00. Bring your appetite and some food to grill! You can sign up using the link below. On June 17th, each PEDP class will get a sneak peek into next year on our Annual Step-Up Day. 1st grade moves into the Barracudas, 3rd grade into the Sharks, and our fifth graders will take a trip down memory lane by going back to the Minnows with next year’s 1st graders!
A few things to keep in mind this month:
- School and PEDP are closed on June 19th for the holiday.
- The last day of school, June 23rd, there will be NO PM EDP.
- As the weather gets warmer, it’s a great idea to make sure your kids bring their water bottles. Stay Hydrated!!
- EDP WILL CLOSE AT 5:00 on June 12th, for the family picnic. Sign Up Link: PEDP Family Picnic Sign Up
FOR OVER THE SUMMER:
The program will not be open over the summer but the Leadership Team will be busy hiring and getting ready for next year. If you need to reach us, please email at kids@peirceedp.com.
