PEDP families,
It’s so hard to believe the year is almost over. Our year was filled with great projects, field trips, special events and even a class or two – skiing/snowboarding hurray! Don’t think we’re slowing down just because the year is coming to an end. We have a lot planned so get out the calendar and make note!

Our June theme is Bodies of Water. Perhaps some of you spent time in some local waters over the Memorial Day weekend?

STAFF LONGEVITY and FIFTH GRADERS CELEBRATION!
Join us in celebrating the longevity milestones of four PEDP staff members this year! Miss Rachel – 20 years! Miss Courtney – 5 years! Miss Laurie D. – 5 years! Mr. Nick – 3 years! We will also be celebrating our seventeen graduating fifth graders. There will be a short ceremony on Thursday, June 9th at 5:00 pm on the outside basketball court. Light refreshments will be served, and all are welcome!
FAMILY PICNIC
Come to our Annual PEDP Picnic and celebrate the end of a terrific year with us! It is going to be held on THURSDAY, JUNE 16TH at WARE’S COVE, a beautiful picnic area next to the Charles River here in Newton. PEDP will supply the charcoal for the grills, cooking utensils, condiments, and paper goods. Each family should bring their own main course to grill i.e., burgers, hot dogs, chicken, rolls, etc. We ask that you also bring a dish to share with others such as: potato salad, chips, tossed salad, dessert. You can sign up via the Sign Genius link that will be emailed to all families. ON THE DAY OF THE PICNIC, THE PROGRAM WILL BE CLOSING AT 5:00 P.M. If your child attends PEDP on Thursday, make sure that your pick-up person knows about this change. If you cannot make it here by 5:00, please arrange for another parent or sitter to pick up your child. Please let us know who that person will be. Our regular late fees will be billed for any pick-ups past 5:00 pm that day.
SWIM-UP DAY
For children who attend the late afternoon program on Tuesday, June 14th, we will be doing our own version of Step-Up Day! Each of the grades moving up to a new fish group will get a glimpse of what next year holds in store for them.
LAST DAY OF SCHOOL
The last day of school will be Friday, June 24th. Peirce EDP will NOT be open that afternoon. ALL overdue payments must be in by the last day of school! This includes money owed for: Extra Hours, Late Pick-ups, Calling Fees and Tuition.
2022-2023 PEDP TUITION DEPOSIT
- If your child is registered to attend PEDP next year, a one month deposit will be posted to your account in the parent portal on June 1st.
- Payment is due by June 15th.
- A $25 fee is assessed if the deposit is not received by this time.
OVER THE SUMMER
As you know, Peirce EDP is not open during the summer. If you need to reach us, email (kids@peirceedp.com) is usually the quickest way to do so. The leadership team will be checking email throughout the summer on a regular basis. You can also leave a message on our machine here at school, but we only check that sporadically.
