May Theme – The Olympics
As you know, the Summer Olympics will be held in Japan beginning on Friday, July 23, 2021.
- The PEDP Olympics begin on Wednesday, May 5, with a Torch Relay in the neighborhood around Peirce School.
- A map of the route is attached if you would like to come cheer the kids on. The relay begins at 1:45 pm.
- Olympic events will be held within each age group throughout the month of May. Let the Games begin!
Snacks
- Please send your student’s PEDP snack in a separate container so they know to save it for after school.
- Students have been arriving at PEDP without a snack and we are not providing snacks this year per our current COVID regulations. We are going through our “emergency” snacks very quickly these days giving them out to children who don’t have a snack. Many are eating it at lunchtime so make sure they know what is supposed to be saved for the afternoon snack.
Afternoon Pick-up
- Several staff members are returning to PEDP this month – Miss Laurie D., Miss Laurie P., and Miss Dana.
- Take a minute to say hello or to introduce yourself at the back door!
- We need some kind of acknowledgement when we transfer your child to you at pick-up. Please give a verbal “ok” or a wave, if you are on a work call.
Important Dates–
- May 3 – PEDP Registration begins for SY 2021-22.
- May 31 – No school/PEDP – Memorial Day
