PEDP Newsletter April 2021

A big WELCOME BACK to all of our students now that Peirce is going back to 5 days a week.  We know this is a time of transition for everyone and we will be sensitive to that as we plan for the month ahead.

Our theme for April is Going Green and the emphasis will be on taking care of our planet.  Topics may include recycling, composting, upcycling, reducing waste and conservation.

This is a big fundraising month.  While fundraising is part of the fiber of a nonprofit, we do realize it is a big “ask” right now.  We hope that you will contribute in any way you can – buying a raffle ticket, bidding on an auction item, attending Trivia Night – it all helps to support and sustain PEDP.  We are truly grateful for each and every contribution!

The PEDP raffle that was held at Trivia Night in the past will be held the week of April 5-9 as a separate event.  Look for the PEDP Raffle table out in front of the school at the beginning and end of the school day, or buy your tickets at pick-up from PEDP.   Four great prizes:

• An old-fashioned gumball machine, loaded with M&Ms
• $200 in lottery tickets in the shape of a  horseshoe (could this be your lucky day?)
• A sterling silver cuff bracelet, hand-forged by Michele Leonard from BSilverbangles
• A “Takeout Trove” of 6 gift cards totally $140 to local restaurants

Enrollment for 2021-22  We are hoping to have enough information by the end of the month to open enrollment for SY 2021-22. Stay tuned!

Miss Kim needs the following supplies for upcoming projects: empty shampoo bottles (need at least 11); toilet paper rolls (need about 36); empty water bottles (at least 13). Donations can be dropped off  before April 16th.
