Here’s what’s happening in November…
November Theme: Crafting for the Fair!
Staffing:
- The Sharks welcome Nick Szulwach! Nick will be working Monday – Friday with the fourth and fifth graders.
- The Tuesday Barracudas welcome Nicole Hassett, a student at Lasell. Emily Kulick, a Tuesday Barracuda teacher and also a Lasell student, had a schedule change and is no longer available on Tuesdays. We hope to have her sub in the future.
Classes:
- Ski/Snowboard Program – Ski/Snowboard rental forms are due by November 8. Please see Rachel for the form. The pre-fit for renters is Tuesday, November 12 at 12:45 pm. Attendance at our informational meeting is REQUIRED for parents of children signing up for PEDP’s Ski/Snowboard program for the first time. Kathy will spend about 20 minutes going over how the program operates and there will be time for Q & A afterward. This meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 19 at 5:30 pm. Payments for this class are due by December 2.
- Kids Cooking Green – There are still spots available for this fun cooking class which runs from Tuesday, November 12 – December 17 (No class on December 3, the day of the Craft Fair)
Field Trips:
- Adventurers (4/5) – Tuesday, November 5 – 5 Witts at Patriot Place in Foxboro
- Barracuda (2/3) – Tuesday, November 5 – The EcoTarium in Worcester – Cost = $25 (Sign-up on the Jackrabbit Parent Portal)
Events:
- Annual Holiday Craft Fair!– Tuesday, December 3 and Wednesday, December 4 (an Early Release Day). Watch for an email with more details later this month.
REQUESTS & REMINDERS FOR ALL PARENTS…
- Please remember that you must notify PEDP prior to school dismissal whenever your child will not be attending for the day. You may do this in person, by phone (617-332-5881), in writing, or via e-mail: kids@peirceedp.com There is a calling fee of $25 if the staff need to make phone calls to find out where your child is at attendance time.
- All children should be bringing a water bottle with them to school EVERY day. Please make sure that they are labeled with your child’s name.
- Let’s play it safe! DO NOT PARK IN THE DRIVEWAY to drop off or pick up your children.
- The Early Birds program ($15 per day) and extra hours ($12 per hour) are available to all families when needed. Just ask!

- Wednesday, November 27 – Early Bird Program ONLY – 12:00 PM Release – No Afternoon PEDP
